Almost a whole week with no post...I cant let that happen this month! This is Perseus...the Medusa scribble got me into reading about the old greek god stories again so of course another sketch came out of it. I'll have to finish him up in the next day or so...need alot decently drawn characters to fill up the blog.

It's not my favorite scribble, something bothers me about it...but I'll call this one "Shit, I'm out of Quarters".

Sketched this out really quick this morning, his costume is pretty cluttered and I rushed into clean up so I didnt nail a clean silhouette but I kinda like it. The wierd border is just a cheat till I can fix him up and give him a lower half.

Was anyone else as pleasantly surprised by this movie as I was?

Sorry....I've been MIA for a while. A bunch of new post coming and hopefully and new Blog Layout and Website, I know its a lot to promise for the next month but I'm sure I'll deliver..lol. Btw here is an a colored version of one of the old Hostess characters I was doing a while back....I sketched him out but never cleaned him up till recently, enjoy!

I can't believe it took me four and a half years to get to Post #100...its pretty embarrassing to be perfectly honest. Anyway heres something I drew for myself since Hallmark doesn't sell any blogging related cards.

On a side note--I'm all packed up and I'm off to Japan for a friends wedding...see you when I get back!

Morning Scribbles!

I'd love to do more of these...it would be kinda fun to fill up a page of about 20 or 28 and clean them up.

--So recently in an attempt to drag myself out of an artistic slump, I decided to start studying something new...take a guess at what I chose! I've been taking some classes and this is my first assignment. "Take a room you are very familair with and model it in Maya" so I used my office. I feel its been coming out pretty decent considering I've never really modeled something this intricate before. Hopefully I can model the rest of the stuff in there and have it done by Friday so then I can try throwing light and texture in the mix.

It's March and you know what that means!

Someone liked my Hostess Mascots sketches so much that I got a quick freelance gig to do in my spare time. A Black and white Mascot for a small burger place here in the city! lol, its not much but its what they wanted, simple, round and no sesame seeds.

I liked him better with no arms but apparently that didn't fly with them.

A friend of mine does suspension shows so I thought it would be fun to do a piece...still working on it though...the line texture doesnt show up in this pic so, I'll have to export a higher res one later
